Yorkshire Bridal York began its journey with one young mum who wanted more for herself and her children.
As a single mum to 3 beautiful children, Kayleigh, the owner of Yorkshire bridal decided to take her career into her own hands after a long period of hardship and well, let’s just say, a lot of challenging times, she gained experience altering wedding dresses and then began offering mobile bridal alterations locally so that she could work from home and around her children and family commitments.
As the business grew, Kayleigh grew as a person too. On her own healing journey she noticed how a lot of women put them selves down during appointments and how they found it hard to not judge themselves, picking faults with their appearance and just a whole lot of lack in self confidence.
This is not all brides by the way, but many and Kayleigh, being a true empath and facing her own challenges really felt the heaviness here.
She wanted nothing more but to be able to offer a personal and professional service which also involved offering encouragement and guidance to empower and instil confidence into those ladies, helping them to get their gowns fitting perfectly to their own unique bodies was the perfect way to do this.
She worked along side some amazing bridal boutiques which inspired her to follow her dreams and passion for bridal wear, and then eventually took the plunge and opened her little shop in Featherstone, West Yorkshire, formerly know as KF Alterations, Bridal & Occasionwear.
The business continued to thrive as Kayleigh built an incredible reputation within the local community, often being recommended by past brides on social media groups and word of mouth.
It was at this point that Kayleigh was so happy to be able to do such an incredible job, being part of such a special time of a brides life was pure love for her, but she just wanted more! To be more involved with a brides journey and be a bigger part of the dress shopping experience…
This is when Kayleigh decided, with the help and encouragement of her very supporting partner, Sam, to make a huge investment and transformed her Bridal Alterations business into her own little boutique, KF Bridal & Alterations!
Brides enjoyed friendly and professional one on one appointments with Kayleigh and a number of wonderful brides (and prom girls) said a very exciting #yestothedress at the boutique in Featherstone. The review on Facebook and google really do speak for themselves!
As the business grew, it also outgrew the available space so Kayleigh decided that it was time to move to a bigger & better premises. After quite a few failed attempts at securing new premises, Kayleigh and her family decided to up sticks and move back to her family roots in York where from there, everything fell into place and Yorkshire Bridal Boutique York was born!
Now transitioned from KF Bridal to Yorkshire Bridal Kayleigh is immensely proud of the space that she is now able to offer brides in search of their beautiful gowns at The Four Alls on Malton Road - York.
Boasting an impressive floor space, with separate reception area, dress room, fitting room & sewing room, Kayleigh is able to fulfill her entire work within the building and offer a stunning place for brides to say YES to their dress!
